Anubis was the ancient Egyptian jackal-god of mummification. he assisted in the rites by which a dead man was admitted to the underworld. Anubis was worshipped as the inventor of embalming and who embalmed the dead Osiris, thereby helping to preserve him that he might live again.

This Egyptian statue of Anubis makes a great conversation piece. Measuring 10 1/2 inches tall, 4 3/4 inches wide, and 3 1/4 inches deep, it's essential for any Egyptian decor. It has hand-painted blue, red and gold accents to compliment its metallic bronze finish, and the base has a felt bottom, so it won't scratch furniture. It's made of cold cast resin.
