The J1000 is a low profile (3.25") for the Transit Connect aerodynamically designed rack system that can fit onto the Transit Connects factory bolt. The unique shape of the crossbars minimizes wind noise. The A285 crossbars are reinforced aluminum with channels and can support 400 lbs. The mounting bases have a footprint of 2.75" X 1.25" and bolt into the factor (M8) OE Bolt holesl. In total the system weighs in at only 9 lbs.
