This book seeks to discover the primary mission and message of Jesus. To achieve this it gives attention to the Old Testament background and the expectations current within Second Temple Judaism. Read in this light, it becomes clear that Jesus introduced a totally fresh departure, which can be described as enacted, inaugurated eschatology.
