A young married couple, goes to live with his uncle, and joins his law practice. A wealthy black man asks for legal help to divorce his wife for having an affair with a white policeman. The uncle does not want the case, but the young man persuades him to take the suit. The policeman implores the man's wife not to contest the divorce. She refuses, leading to militant action on behalf of the policeman against her husband.
