Also known as the Halaby pepper, Aleppo Pepper is found in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, especially in Syrian and Turkish dishes. Very rare and hard to find, Aleppo pepper is middle of the road hot, with a fruity and salty flavor. Use as a substitute for crushed red pepper or paprika to kick your cuisine up a notch.
