This book contains 80 figure drawings in three categories: quick-sketch, decorative drawing and figure rendering. They are produced in more than a dozen styles by Dr. Wei Xu, an artist, mathematician and computer graphics scientist, in the Spring of 2011 at The Art Institute of California - San Diego. This book is a collection of artwork for art students to learn figure drawing, rather than a step-by-step tutorial.

Dr. Xu created all the drawings of this book by using "Angled Based Constructive (ABC) Drawing" method, an innovative full-brain approach that he has developed in the past few years based on math and computer graphics principles. "Drawing in the Digital Age", his new textbook teaching the ABC drawing method, was published by Wiley in March 2012.
