Jem and the Holograms is an animated TV series that ran from 1985 to 1988 in U.S. first-run syndication to millions of young viewers. The show revolves around Jerrica, a music company owner and Jem, her glamorous pop singer alter-ego. Jerrica is able to transform into Jem with the help of a unique computer system that can create realistic holograms of virtually anything. By her side are band members The Holograms who sing their way through many worldwide adventures while rival bands (such as The Misfits) try to steal their spotlight.
