USB Device Compatibility
This enclosure is backwards compatible with USB 1.1 and 2.0 connections, so it is compatible with all USB devices. To ensure USB 3.0 speeds host, cable, and phone all have to be USB 3.0 compatible.
The Difference Between USB 2.0 and 3.0
USB cables have different transfer speeds (2.0 and 3.0) that indicate how fast the data is transferred. The higher the number, the faster they can transfer data. For full transfer speeds, the cable and the device must be capable of the same transfer speed. The only way to achieve full USB 3.0 speeds is if the computer, cable, and phone all support USB 3.0 connectivity.
