SMART cables are designed to monitor the voltage of a battery and indicate when it’s time to recharge it. When batteries are stored, even if they are not used, the voltage will slowly go down. If the battery is allowed to go too low in voltage it becomes damaged (sulphated). SMART cables indicates when a battery needs recharging well ahead of sulphation. SMART cables plug into most battery chargers, maintainers, tenders, or solar panels. When the red LED comes on, just plug any of these devices into the SMART Cable and recharge the battery. Choose between our unique battery terminal connection, cigarette lighter connection or battery clip-on connectors. The bright yellow cable eliminates accidental disconnects.
