This Civil War 150th anniversary hiking stick medallion commemorates the sesquicentennial of the Civil War. The war began in 1861 and ended in 1865. Events across the country will mark this anniversary from 2011 through 2015. Hiking Medallions are increasingly popular in the United States and have been a long standing tradition in Europe. These medallions may be gently shaped to fit on hiking staffs, paddles, etc. Pre-drilling holes for the included nails is recommended to affix your medallion. They can also be flattened and glued to RV's and other flat surfaces.
