For the past decade I have spent thousands of hours researching the lost treasures of the Civil War. In the process, I have discovered that many millions of dollars worth of gold and silver coin and bullion were cached during that historic conflict. My research also shows that very few of these treasures have ever been recovered, due in large part to the fact that very few people know about them. The following tale is about one such treasure.
