David Rose was one of the most admired and characteristic mainstream instrumental pop composers of the '40s, '50s and '60s and rightly deserved the moniker 'king of the strings'. This set contains his orchestral hits "Love Is A Many Splendored Thing", "Holiday For Trombones", "Calypso Melody", "Swinging Shepherd Blues" and his hit recording with Andre Previn "Like Young".
