These are ORIGINAL (not Yarka) watercolors supplied by its manufacture Nevskaya Palitra located in St.Petersburg, Russia. Their famous watercolors are still produced using traditional materials and techniques that go back to the 19th century art traditions. All the pigments are made in the factory that has been known for its quality, great care and craftsmanship for over a century. Unlike other watercolors which are made with dry, compressed extrusion process, Nevskaya Palitra watercolors are all liquid poured - a process preserving the integrity of each pigment and resulting in semi-moist pans that respond instantly to a wet brush. No wonder these watercolors have been the most favorite by several generations of European artists. In addition to pigments the ingredients include gum arabic and honey.
