Gnomes first appeared in European folklore as benevolent creatures who rewarded the good behavior of farmers, merchants, and housewives with assistance in fields, shops, and gardens at night. These tales inspired Phillip Griebel to create tiny statuaries in the middle of the nineteenth century to decorate gardens. These little guys have changed over the years to reflect current interests and now you can be rewarded with this Philadelphia Eagles gnome! He is decked out in the team colors with the logo on his hat and the team name on his vest. Who knows, he may even weed the garden overnight!
