The Sandusky Lee SC450F is an 18 gauge steel safety cabinet with two doors, two vents, two galvanized steel shelves, and a 45 gallon capacity suitable for storing safety cans containing flammable liquids. This cabinet has a double-wall 18 gauge welded steel construction with 1-1/2" air space for strength and to help reduce the risk of fire. Gauge is a measure of thickness (the lower the gauge, the thicker the material). The cabinet comes with two 2" vents to allow internal vapors to escape. Each vent has a fire arrestor and cap to help prevent liquids inside the cabinet from igniting. The cabinet has two shelves with a 500 lb. per shelf capacity that are made of galvanized steel for resistance to rust, dents, and certain chemicals. The shelves adjust in 2-1/2" increments to fit the height of stored items. The bottom surface of this safety cabinet can be used as a third shelf. The doors close manually and are attached to the cabinet with continuous piano hinges, which are more secure than typical butt hinges. The locking door handle has a three-point key lock to help secure contents and prevent unauthorized access. Two keys are provided for the lock. The door sill is 2" high to resist water and moisture. The cabinet has adjustable leveling feet for use on uneven surfaces, and has a powder coat finish to resist chipping and corrosion.
