A story of loss, redemption and basketball, Second Chance Season follows 17-year old Nick Young (Washington Wizards) and his family, as they cope with the murder of Young's older brother, killed 13 years earlier. When Nick becomes one of the nation's top basketball recruits, the senseless killing pushes the family to place all its hopes in the basketball aspirations of its youngest son. As his hoop dreams become nearly an unbearable burden, Nick struggles to graduate and raise his SAT scores. Despite all his setbacks, Nick carries on, facing each challenge with the same qualities he displays on the court - grace, perseverance, and an indomitable spirit.
