These filters are easily WASHABLE & REUSABLE, which makes them much easier to clean and last longer. Rinsing the filter under a faucet or outside with the hose should be sufficient in most cases, mild household cleaner can be sprayed on, if desired. And, of course, fully air dry before using. It is recommended to keep two of these filters on hand so that you can use the vacuum, if needed, with second dry filter if the first filter is drying after being washed.
