This item should be replaced every two years, or when the display says "Replace RCI Cell" which ever comes first. This new RCI Cell utilizes the Honeycomb Matrix Catalytic Target which has 6-times the effective surface area of a flat target, in an easy to replace package. The RCI Cell includes a powerful UVX Bulb, which is much easier to service and has a longer life expectancy.
