The AMS One Piece Step Probe is the fastest and easiest way to take soil samples as deep as 14" from turf, parks, golf courses or yards. Just apply pressure on the probe by stepping down on the fixed step in order to obtain a 11/16" diameter sample. The 40" overall length of this soil probe has been praised by many end-users an ideal working height for the cross handle. The one piece design means the cross handle has been welded onto the probe body. The soil probe is made from 4130 chrome molybdenum steel and features a hardened tip that cut a soil core approx. 11/16" in diameter by about 12" long. The entire probe has been nickel plated for added rust-resistance and the cross handle features textured rubber grips for operator comfort. AMS also offers a variety of standard and replaceable tip soil probes that can be used with the AMS adjustable footstep.
