‘Lamperti School’ interprets the salient aspects of Giovanni Lamperti’s total method (according to the precepts in William Brown’s Vocal Wisdom) to the reader in a way that is concise, understandable, pointed, and above all else, applicable by singers not just from the classical field but all music genres. The problem faced by contemporary generations and those following is in applying these maxims to their own voices. Jacocks again shows the ability to be concise in explaining technical complexities and bringing out the relevance and excellence in historical vocal techniques.
