Survivor: Guatemala, the eleventh season in the long-running series, strands the competitors in the dense jungles of Guatemala amidst the backdrop of the beautiful Mayan ruins. A diverse group of castaways, including ex-NFL quarterback Gary Hogeboom, are divided into two tribes, the Nakúm and the Yaxhá. After the tribes are formed, the cast sees the welcome return of fan-favorites Stephenie LaGrossa and Bobby Jon Drinkard from Survivor: Palau.

Things start off with a brutal 11-mile hike through the Guatemalan Jungle and don’t get any easier from there. In a cast that contains an ex-football player and an ivy-league student, everyone tries to keep their identity a secret to avoid being singled out by their teammates. Double crosses, tribe switches, and the introduction of the ‘hidden idol’ keep things fresh and exciting in the eleventh season.
