Front and center--I loved this book. . .The evocation of place was so strong that I thought I could smell the crisp winter air and that scent of pine when you reach out and brush against the trees when walking in the woods.

The mystery of Lisa Gagnan's death is unraveled by questioning, searching for clues, and listening as much as to what is not said as to what is said. . .There's some nifty twists and turns to the plot so you're kept guessing to the end. ---Gayle Surrette, Gumshoe Review
