In the 1980's, at the request of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the Meridian Trust began to film many of the old teachers who came out of Tibet before they passed away. This original filming came to be known as the Lama Project; a total of 600 hours recorded. His Holiness the Dalai Lama is considered to be a living embodiment of Avalokiteshvara or Chenrezig, who is the Buddha of Compassion. This is a very special initiation from His Holiness. There are no special requirements or commitments involved as this was given to a large public audience, but is a blessing that can benefit everyone.
