TapeCase UHMW polyethylene tape 423-5 is a pressure sensitive tape constructed with ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW) film and an aggressive permanent acrylic adhesive. The UHMW film provides an excellent low friction, non-stick surface similar to PTFE. The film has a very high tensile strength and abrasion resistance. Common applications include drawer slides, chute liners, wear pads and guide rails.
- UHWM POLYETHYLENE TAPE: This tape features a UHMW Polyethylene film backing with an aggressive acrylic adhesive. The film backing has excellent durability, abrasion resistance, and tensile strength.
- WEAR AND NOISE REDUCTION: The UHMW-PE backing creates a self-lubricating, non-stick surface for many tough impact wear and sliding applications. The tape also reduces squeaks, rattles, and other noises caused by vibration or two surfaces rubbing.
- APPLICATIONS: Excellent for automotive applications, reducing squeaks and rattles in vehicle interiors and doors. Widely used in mechanical applications, including chute and hopper lining, wear pads, guide rails, and more.
- SPECIFICATIONS: This UHMW-PE tape roll measures 1 inch in width and 5 yards in length. The tape backing thickness is 5 mil and the total tape thickness is 7.3 mil.
