Tom Yum Soup Base!

Maesri Tom Yam Paste makes it easy to make Tom Yum soup, a favorite due to its hot and sour taste, at home. Just add a few tablespoons to boiling water and you have hot and sour soup! Add Coconut milk to have the famous creamy tom kahh soup.

What is Tom Yum? Literally, the words tom yum are derived from two Tai words: tom and yam. Tom refers to boiling process (soup, in this case). Yam refers to a kind of Lao and Thai spicy and sour salad. Thus, tom yum is a Lao and Thai hot and sour soup. Indeed, tom yum is characterised by its distinct hot and sour flavours, with fragrant herbs generously used in the broth.

Easy Tom Yum Soup Recipe

Ingredients

4 Tbsp Maesri Tom Yum Paste
1 Tbsp Chopped Garlic
2 Diced Tomatoes
2 Celery Stocks Chopped
4 Mushrooms Sliced
1 Chicken Thigh or Breast
4 large Prawns or Shrimp
1 Chicken Bullion
4 1/2 Cups Water
2 Tbsp Pepper
1 Tsp Salt
Cilatro

Boil water in a pot and mix in Maesri Tom Yum Paste.
Add garlic, tomatoes, celery, mushrooms, & meats and bring to another boil.
Add chicken bullion, salt and pepper and boil for 10 minutes.
Top with cilantro and serve.
