Product Review
CollectA's replica of the Dolichorhynchops is detailed and lifelike down to its long snout and flippers. This plesiosaur lived in North America in the Late Cretaceous Period, about 80 - 70 million years ago. The prehistoric reptile's name means ''long-nosed eye.'' A teenager discovered the first specimen in Kansas in 1900. Fossil remains have been found in other locations, including Canada. The Dolichorhynchops grew to be about 17 feet long and weighed approximately 1,000 pounds. This beautifully sculpted, collectible figure from our Prehistoric Life Collection measures 5.1''L x 1.6''H.
