The mark of the beast . . . what is it? Without opening the Scriptures, people speculate widely about what the mark will entail: a surgically inserted microchip, a voyeuristic microchip in television sets and computers to monitor in-home activities, tattoos of 666. Once people study the Bible and apply the prophetic symbolism to history, the mark of the beast becomes transparent.

Opening the Bible to examination and applying the prophecy to history is exactly the approach that Mr. Wohlberg takes in this pocket book. Scripturally he defines the beast, the little horn, and its characteristics (found in both Daniel 7 and Revelation 13). He then focuses on actual historical events as they pertain to the prophecy and Scripture at hand.

He does go on to clarify that the mark of the beast has not yet been placed on anyone yet. Nevertheless, the day will come when we need to choose to embrace or reject the mark of the beast.
