This V430 Readi-Pipe Kit is designed for use as dryer transition duct, connecting the clothes dryer to the wall outlet. The Class 0 non-insulated, non-combustible flexible aluminum air duct stretches to 8 feet. Soft cuff ends make smooth connections to standard 4" connections. The 2 steel screw clamps are designed to resist stretching and are used to secure dryer and wall connections. A typical laundry room uses approximately 8 feet of duct. Each 90 degree turn takes 6 inches of clearance will use up 1 foot of the length of the duct. Clothes dryer manufacturers specify "Only rigid or flexible metal vent shall be used for exhausting. Do not use plastic or metal foil vent." We use 100% aluminum, roll formed with crimp-locked seam.
