This special Super-Audio reissue compilation from Tahra celebrates the amazing artistry of two kindred Rumanian musicians - Dinu Lipatti (1917-1950) and Clara Haskil (1895-1960) - each a protege of Georges Enescu and each a bona fide legend in the history of the piano. Completely remastered for SACD, the recordings on this disc encompass a 1953 recital given by Haskil at the Chateau de Ludwigsburg (with selections by Bach, Scarlatti, Debussy and Schumann) and a 1948 broadcast recording of Lipatti playing the Bartok Piano Concerto No.3 with the Sudwestfunk-Sinfonieorchester led by Paul Sacher.
