American jazz musician George Adams was a multi-instrumentalist - tenor saxophone, flute, bass clarinet - who is best known his work with jazz legends Charles Mingus, Gil Evan and Roy Haynes. This collection from Black Saint/Soul Note is a fitting tribute that includes five of his classic albums: Don't Lose Control (1979), Hand to Hand (1980), Gentlemen's Agreement (1983), and both volumes of Live at the Village Vanguard (1983). Featured artists include Don Pullen, Cameron Brown, Dannie Richmond, Jimmy Knepper, Hugh Lawson and Mike Richmond.
