Butcher's Broom - Cream (2 oz, ZIN: 428460): Butcher's Broom literally received its name from its tradition of having its branches utilised as a source of broom straw by butchers. This Mediterranean bush has an extended history of traditional use for urinary complaints. Recently, it's been studied for its handling of complaints involving veins. - Butcher's broom has been authorized by Germany's Commission E as a support for chronic venous insufficiency (CVI). Venous insufficiency, a situation regarding swollen veins, involves swelling, pain and fatigue typically within veins in the calves. Commission E also commends Butcher's Broom (Ruscus aculeatus) for its handling of hemorrhoids. - These 2 Commission E suggestions were in place before any real significant research was carried out comparing Butcher's Broom (Ruscus aculeatus) to placebo for either of these applications. But several research studies have since been carried out which have provided initial evidence supporting its use -
