The Irish Rovers Christmas DVD was filmed on location in the pubs and ski hills of Banff National Park, Alberta, and on stage at Chatham Ontario's historic Capitol Theatre, with musical guests from Ireland, Morris Crum, Patrick Davey, Gerry O'Connor, Canadian/Irish Tenor John McDermott and guitarist Jason Fowler. While filming in Banff, the lads even dared to take to the slopes with Canadian ski legend and Crazy Canuck, Dave Irwin.
This is the first time in over a decade that The Rovers have released a holiday DVD.
Filled with holiday cheer, the concert is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit with sing-a-long performances of popular classics including, Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas and the Christmas Medley, which includes everything from Deck the Halls and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer to a song with a Hawaiian vibe, Mele Kalikimaka. The celebration of Christmas continues with beautiful Celtic tunes, Christmas in Killarney and Bells over Belfast as well as original compositions, Hurray for Christmas Day, Merry Merry Time of Year and the Three Jolly Rogues, written by group founder George Millar. Complete with silly songs like Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer to the emotionally powerful Down Among the Bushes of Jerusalem, The Irish Rovers Christmas DVD offers holiday music for all ages to enjoy.
