Former WEC lightweight champ Anthony 'showtime? Pettis and Jeremy ?Lil? Heathen? Stephens did not simply fight, they engaged in a non-stop war. Pettis, known more for his unconventional striking attack, found the edge in his ground game threatening Stephens from his back as well as scoring takedowns in the second and third rounds. Pettis kept pushing the pace and earned the split decision victory and the first of what is sure to be many wins in the Octagon.
