A CliffsNotes-type guidebook for less seasoned Hitchcock fans to an understanding of "The Birds" that draws from recognized scholarship of the director's techniques, the author's scene-by-scene interpretations and comparisons with the short story by Daphne du Maurier that was the premise for the movie. This is intended for those who have already seen the film and want to experience it again and possibly see aspects they did not notice before.
