Based on the American Flag, the white rose bud in the center of the blue top petals represents the stars on the blue background and the red and white alternating petals represent the red and white stripes. The Patriot rose is an original design of Sara Monica Flower Crafts and is entirely handmade in the USA by a small team of artisans, starting from the fabrics and with antique flower making tools which were handmade and hand cast in NYC in the early 1900's. It has a dual brooch pin and hair clip backing and is approximately 3.75 inches to 4 inches in diameter.
