Vinca Rosea Dwarf (Little Mix) -For hot southern or desert climates or a hard to maintain spot near a concrete or reflecting wall, vinca (aka - periwinkle) is your plant! Blooms best when other plants are hurting from the heat. Very few insects or disease problems. This ground cover can be grown as a perennial in frost-free areas. Readily reseeds itself. Very drought tolerant. Vinca is a very easy to maintain low-growing delight in the garden. It begins blooming extra-early with big flowers in four dazzling colors, then just keeps going despite extreme heat, poor soil, and just about any other obstacle nature throws its way! You will love the uniform, neat, yet very bushy 8 to 10 plants, which stay colorful for months on end. The blooms are 2 inches across and held wide open, with a large, eye-catching white center on several of the darker colored flowers. The blooms are held up and out from the fresh, lush foliage, making them a splendid choice for beds, borders, ground cover, and baskets. They even make terrific houseplants during the winter months!
