The tracklisting for AN INTRODUCTION TO…LAIBACH demonstrates Laibach's unique take on the cover version. It's a window into their own view of pop music, and to the humor that permeates their work. Laibach tackle The Beatles, Queen, Bob Dylan in addition to their re-interpretation of national anthems. The album cover art for 'AN INTRODUCTION TO…LAIBACH / REPRODUCTION PROHIBITED' was painted by members of the group in 1981, interpreting the Rene Magritte work 'Not to Be Reproduced,' from 1937. "An Introduction To..." is a series of Mute compilations. Neither a "best of" nor a "greatest hits" but rather a series of compilations giving a revealing introduction to the world of Mute. Complied by the artist to give a unique perspective and presented with new artwork and sleeve notes this release is not to be missed.
