This Alemite 3038-B straight, thread-forming fitting has a 1/4"-28 special taper threaded end for applications where a grease fitting is needed for an untapped hole. The trivalent zinc plating gives it durability and makes it resistance to corrosion, exceeding a 72-hour salt spray test. The fitting is straight and has no angle to it, has a 5/16" hex size, and its 1/4"-28 special taper threading is for an untapped recommended hole size of .230" to .235" to create a leak-proof seal.
