The spiked shoes are used along with spiked screed roller. So when moving screed around a bigger area the fitter can walk through comfortably whilst spreading. Also acts like the spike roller removing air bubbles and leaves a smooth level screed surface. Also used by keen gardeners to air there lawn. Just check the nuts are tight prior to use.
