This is the Fairy of Heart's Ease who bears its beautiful colors in shades of geranium leaf green and violet purple. Heart's Ease is the European common name of Viola Tricolor, but in the United States the plant is better known as Johnny Jump Up. Standing stately in front of the Fairy Vine, the Heart's Ease Flower Fairy would make a handsome addition to the fairy garden. In 1923, Cicely Mary Barker published the first edition of Children's Books about the world of flower fairies. The illustration of the Heart's Ease Fairy was found in the first edition called, Flower Fairies of the Spring.
