The world-wide recognized English writer and also illustrator, Cicely Mary Barker, published a number of children's stories regarding imagination together with the world of flower fairies. Barker's initial book, Flower Fairies of the Spring, was introduced in 1923. The enchanting pictures included in her books were the creative idea for the fairies. Every flower fairy is hand painted.
