This supplemental text is designed to accompany Solomons or any Organic Chemistry text. David Klein helps students see the patterns in organic chemistry. This leads to a deeper conceptual understanding of the material and less memorizing or rote learning. Many students in this course lack effective study habits and a sense of the big picture. Klein gives explicit instructions on how to organize one's study time. He also presents topics clearly by using a friendly writing style, analogy where appropriate, and lots of hands-on problem solving.
