The WPI CG-0018, 600mL heavy-duty, round, Griffin-style, low-form beaker is designed for general-purpose use in education, chemistry, research, and life-science industries. The beaker is composed of borosilicate 3.3 glass, which has an 80% silica content that provides clarity, high mechanical strength, and high resistance to chemical attack and thermal shock. White, dual-scale graduations ease reading, and a marking area can be used for labeling. A pour spout prevents splashing and over-pouring. The laboratory-grade beaker meets American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) E960, type II standards for borosilicate glass. Includes six beakers.

Beaker forms commonly include Griffin (low overall height), Berzelius (a high form), or a shallow and wide structure, which is used for liquid crystallization. A beaker's outer diameter (OD) measurement does not include the rim. Beakers can meet ASTM E-960 specifications for classification, design, capacity and dimensions, and markings.
