This type of dresser is made by sintering together a selected diamond crystal with a metal matrix in a steel shank. The point of the set diamond is concentric with the shank. It is applied to the precision truing of grinding wheels with large diameter and large particle size for grinding machinery, and also to the truing of plain grinding wheels.
