40 Inch Rustic American Americana Flag Barn Star Made with Galvanized Metal to Prevent Rusting. Heavy duty 22 gauge handcrafted galvanized metal tin barn star, painted Americana or Traditional American Flag design in the colors of barn red, ivory, and blue in rustic or distressed paint coverage. Our barn stars are made for outdoor use (no rust will run down the side of your building!) but are perfect for indoor use as well. Painted stars begin with an industrial coat of primer and are topped with a couple coats of severe weather exterior paint. All barn stars in 10 inch, 16 inch and 24 inch are spot welded together. Sizes 32 inch, 40 inch, 53 inch, 72 inch, 96 inch and 120 inch require quick and easy assembly; they arrive in 5 separate wings - simply lay the wings on top of each other and insert the provided screws into the holes and attach the nuts on the back. Hanging brackets are spot welded on the back of the top tip of the 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 16, 24, 32, 40, 53 and 72 inch stars for easy hanging. We highly recommend drilling holes in the tips of the 72, 96, and 120 inch stars for attachment onto a surface. Please note that the 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 inch stars are 22 gauge steel and are not galvanized metal at this time but will soon be offered in galvanized. The back of those sized stars will arrive as bare steel and are susceptible to rusting. We recommend spraying a clear coat (readily available in a Wal-Mart store for about $1) on the back to keep them from rusting and running down the side of your building. Shipping time is about 5 or 6 days because each star is painted at the time of order. It needs a few days to cure so you will get a quality star.
