EISCO three-part human ear model is used for anatomical study. The model is 2.0X life size to display the external, middle, and inner portions of the ear, and has a removable ossicles and labyrinth for detailed examination. The model, which is hand-painted for accurate representation, is numbered and includes a key card for identifying features. The model is mounted on a base for demonstration purposes, and is made of durable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic-coated fiberglass. PVC plastic is corrosion resistant, lightweight, and has high strength, resisting reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons. Fiberglass contains many extremely fine glass fibers in a plastic composite, and is commonly used for its strength, nonreactivity, and to insulate against sound, heat, and electricity. The model measures approximately 25.0 x 18.0 x 15.0cm (L x W x H). (L is length, the horizontal distance from left to right; W is width, the horizontal distance from front to back; H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point.) The model is suitable for high school or college students, or ages 13 to 21.
