This is an autobiographical account of 23 years in the British South Africa Police Force. It includes experiences as a Border Control Inspector and later that as an officer commanding Anti-Terrorist operations in the Matabeleland Province of Rhodesia.

The book also covers day to day investigations of crime and illustrates the varied and diverse nature of a Rhodesian policeman's job.
