In his sophomore and, sadly, final season, Harry Orwell steps a little lighter but never stops searching for the truth. Or working to restore his boat, “The Answer.” Continuing the shift in tone that began with the first season’s mid-season shift from San Diego to Santa Monica, Harry O’s titular lead sheds a bit of his worn down, world-weary style without losing one of the chief qualities that set show and role apart: true characterization. With David Janssen’s superb and subtle embodiment of Harry Orwell raising the bar and the special chemistry he shared with co-star Anthony Zerbe setting the tone, a small cast of returning regulars (including Farrah Fawcett) sealed the deal for distinctive television. This Six-Disc, 22-Episode Collection features the entire second season, with special guests that include Rene Auberjonois, Keye Luke, Loni Anderson, Roddy McDowall, Robert Loggia and Larry Hagman.
