Newly remastered, "The Dolls" is an Italian "Sex And The City" in four parts as portrayed by four of Europe's most desirable woman actresses and directed by four of Italy's hottest directors.

The opener ("Telephone Call") features a young bride (Virna Lisi) who who spends too much time on the phone with her mother, forcing her frustrated husband to check out the greener grass elsewhere. Then a serious student (Elke Sommer) looks for the perfect man to father her child in "A Treatise On Eugenics", but winds up with someone much more ordinary than she would have suspected. "The Soup" features Monica Vitti as a wife trying to trade up her plebeian husband for a dishy lover by having hubby knocked off. Unfortunately for her, he refuses to stay dead. The closer is "Monsignor Cupid" in which a hot-to-trot lady (Gina Lollobrigida) tries to seduce the secretary of a prelate by pulling a con game on his boss, the Monsignor. She learns all too soon that Father knows best.

It's a quartet of tales told about sex, murder, love and passion - all the things that make life worthwhile!
