It's 1940 and the rich and glamorous are seeking refuge from the war in the gambling capitol of Monte Carlo. There, cabaret singer Katrina uses her charms to obtain war secrets which she passes on to British intelligence, and American writer Harry Price searches for inspiration to rekindle his creativity. They find each other, but as romantic tension increases, Katrina's underground exploits are discovered and she's cast into a prison cell to await execution.
